I know it's been more than a few days, but I've finally put my goals into writing. I've actually been accomplishing quite a bit in January, too, so I'm feeling really good about everything! So here they are...my goals for 2010.
1. Develop healthy eating habits.
-- Eat products made with whole grains rather than enriched grains.
-- Eat at least one serving each of fruits and vegetables each day.
-- Keep portions moderate.
-- Avoid snacking when bored, not hungry.
2. Live an active lifestyle.
-- Do elliptical for 30 minutes per day Monday through Saturday.
-- Go for walks outside when the weather allows.
-- Take the stairs at work in the morning and afternoon.
3. Cook meals and bake for my family.
-- Plan menus each week.
-- Use grocery ads and coupons in menu planning to save money.
-- Cook at least once or twice a week (such as on Mondays and Thursdays).
-- Serve healthy foods, including vegetables and fruits.
4 Keep the house clean and picked up.
-- Develop a weekly or monthly house-cleaning schedule.
-- Clean each week according to the weekly or monthly house-cleaning schedule.
-- Keep items in their places to keep the house picked up (purse in bedroom, mail on desk, etc.).
5. Improve personal hygiene.
-- Brush teeth and wash face before bed each night.
-- Shave every morning.
-- Do microdermabraision every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
6. Promote Nathaniel’s growth and development.
-- Take pad off of changing table and move diaper changing to the bathroom.
-- Establish a regular bath schedule.
-- Brush Nathaniel’s teeth in the bathroom each morning and night.
-- Transition from sippy cups to regular cups.
-- Teach Nathaniel to undress and dress himself.
-- Transition to toddler bed and move recliner to spare bedroom.
-- Establish a new bedtime routine once toddler bed is in use.
-- Eliminate use of pacifier at night.
-- Teach Nathaniel to say his name.
-- Work with Nathaniel on learning his ABCs and numbers.
-- Potty train Nathaniel.
7. Record and preserve family memories.
-- Write posts on my blog as a personal journal.
-- Write in a journal for my second pregnancy.
-- Update Facebook at least once per week to keep in touch with family and friends.
-- Update photos on Picasa web each month to give family up-to-date photos of our family.
-- Print and label photos and store them in photo albums.
-- Create scrapbooks for Nathaniel and our family.
-- Develop monthly goals for keeping up with photo albums and scrapbooks.
8. Read every day.
-- Read a short devotion each morning.
-- Read at least 1 book per month.
-- Read to Nathaniel every day (and not just at bedtime).
9. Improve and sustain my marriage.
-- Be more affectionate regardless of my mood.
-- Have a “date night” once a month.
10. Enhance my spiritual growth.
-- Read a short devotion each morning.
-- Pray before meals.
-- Continue to be editor of The Love Letter and a member of the choir.
-- Participate in at least one Bible study this year.
-- Participate in at least one Women of Love event this year (want to attend retreat in Schuyler some time).
