This is my one little word (inspired by Ali Edwards), my goal, my mantra for 2010.
As you can see, I've been absent from my blog for awhile. I've been busy living life, trying to keep up. I've written down several stories about Nathaniel, happenings in my life, but they didn't make it to my blog. Rather than trying to go backwards and adding those things now, I'm going to move forward...into the new year.
In 2010, I have so much that I want to accomplish. I want to achieve the goals I have set for myself. I want to stop procrastinating. I want to cross things off of my "to do" list. I want to be proud of myself. I want to live the life I've always imagined.
As each new year approaches, I usually identify a few general goals that I want to accomplish, such as to lose weight and to scrapbook more. Soon I become overwhelmed by my goals and give up hope that I'll ever achieve them. This year is going to be different. Over the past few months, I've set some large goals, but I've also set some smaller, monthly goals and have done a fairly good job of accomplishing them. I want this to continue in 2010.
Last year was tough for me on a personal level. I had to learn a "new normal" of being a working mom trying to balance my job, time with my family, and time for myself. Now that I feel like a have a fairly good handle on this new normal, there is so much more that I want to accomplish! In the next day or two, I'll post my goals for 2010 along with my plan for accomplishing them. I have a feeling that 2010 is going to be a very productive year!
